Did you know that Romania is one of the few countries that has all forms of landscapes? Starting from the sea coasts, to mountains, from highlands to the famous Danube Delta.

And why not take advantage of this? On this tour we will spend a few days by the sea, visiting some of the resorts. And relax at the beach. After that, we drop down in temperature a bit and head to the mountains, exploring the local tradition.

The price listed in this package is per person.

Before we get to the itinerary, you need to know that this package also includes a bonus tour of our beautiful capital (Bucharest, also known as Little Paris). This is a mini-tour of the city tailored specifically for you, upon purchasing this package. The tour does include a meal in the Bucharest Old Town and a one night stay in the city center.

NOTE: Because your arrival time cannot be determined at this moment, there are two different versions of the Bucharest City Mini-Tour; one in the afternoon, and one in the evening. DAY 1:

  • When you arrive at the Otopeni International Airport in Bucharest, the first thing we do is check-in the hotel. Then, depending on your arrival time, we will do the afternoon or the evening city tour. Here you will find the full details.

DAY 2:

  • After breakfast we will head towards the sea, first stop will be at Histria Citadel, a Greek colony which was founded in the VII th century B.C., near the mouths of Danube, on the western coast of the Black Sea. There you can admire the oldest urban placement in Romania, and the museum which contains many sculptures, inscriptions, ceramics (both Romanian and Greek), glassware.

  • Next stop is Constanta, the known capital of the Black Sea, where we will first have lunch.

  • And seeing how it’s already afternoon, what better way to spend it than on the sunny beach of Mamaia (the most famous resort in the country).

  • Later on, after dinner, you’re free to do whatever you want in Mamaia. There are tons of places you can choose from (from the ski lift offering a nice view of the whole resort, to theme parks, bars and night clubs). But make sure you don’t party too hard, cause the next day, we leave bright and early.

DAY 3:

  • The next morning it’s off to visiting some other resorts of the Black Sea shore you might not have heard of.

  • Firstly we will go Costinesti, where we will visit the Obelisc, the symbol of this resort. It is known to be the meeting point of the youngsters, and the place where the big concerts and events take place. We will also see the ship wreck Evanghelia, which was owned by the fleet of the Greek Aristotel Socrates Onassis. This happened in 1968, in the same year when Onassis proposed to Jaqueline Kennedy, the former wife of President J.F.Kennedy. And, let’s not forget you’re on holiday here, so why not spend a few hours at the beach.

  • In the afternoon, we’re going to Olimp Resort, which used to be the most luxorious resort on the coast, back in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Let’s see how these beautiful hotels used to look like in their glory days. You have to take our word for it, that no other beach resort in the country is as beautiful as this. And it is the perfect place to sit down and have dinner by the sea.

  • In the evening, we will check-in a hotel next to Olimp Resort, in Neptun.

DAY 4:

  • In the third day at the sea, we will go back to Constanta, and visit the Casino built by King Carol the 1st in 1910. In its days, it was a cosmopolite piece of architecture with many marine inspired decorations. Alongside the casino, we will visit The Aquarium, first opened in 1958, gathering over 100 species of fish and marine creatures belonging to different areas. The most spectacular aspect here is the basin which hosts an impressive collection of sturgeon specimens known for their longevity.

  • Next stop is the Dolphinarium, and the Tomis Harbor, where we can admire the beautiful boats and yachts, and have a relaxing lunch near the sea, and in the afternoon we can spend some time at the Aqua Magic Theme Park in Mamaia, where you can have a blast on the water slides.

  • And with that, it’s time to sit down by the beach for dinner, followed by a good night’s rest.

DAY 5:

  • Let’s hope you managed to get a sun tan at the beach because now we’re off to the mountains. We will leave in the morning and head to Doftana, a beautiful mountain resort. We will check in at the hotel and have a quick lunch followed by a mountain hike to explore the area. In the evening we will enjoy a traditional dinner in the middle of the nature.

DAY 6:

  • After breakfast, we will go to visit the Peles Palace in Sinaia, one of the most beautiful castles in all of Europe.

  • Next, we proceed to Busteni City, which is just a few kilometers away. There we will visit the Cantacuzino Palace, build in 1911 by the former prime minister of Romania, Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino (1899-1900, 1904-1907). And we won’t leave this place before eating lunch inside the palace.

  • From Busteni City, we get in the cable car on top of the mountain to visit Babele, the Sphinx and the Caraiman Cross, the highest cross in the world situated on top of a mountain. After that we will return to Doftana.

DAY 7:

  • This day will be a relaxing one, you will be able to get to know more about the Romanian rural life, we will visit local farms, where you will find cozy people that welcome tourists in their homes, you cand go fishing, horse riding, and in the end we will have a goodbye traditional dinner, with a campfire.

DAY 8:

  • Today, sadly, it’s time to say goodbye. So, we will leave for Bucharest International Airport.

Histria Citadel

A Greek colony founded in the 7th century B.C. by the colonists from Milet, near the mouths of Danube, on the western coast of the Black Sea. It is the oldest urban settlement in the country, and had a continuous development for 1300 years, starting with the Greek period and ending with the Roman-Byzantine period.

Mamaia Resort

One of the most famous and vibrating resorts in Romania, both day and night. It is situated between the Black Sea and the Siutghiol Lake, and is the preferred resort for the Romanian people for its events, locations, nightclubs, dolphin aquarium and many more.

Costinesti Resort

The Obelisc is the symbol of this resort. It is known to be the meeting point of the youngsters, and the place where the big concerts and events take place. The ship wreck Evanghelia, which was owned by the fleet of the Greek Aristotel Socrates Onassis.

Olimp Resort

One of the most beautiful resorts of the Black Sea Coast. It was once the most luxurious place s to spend the holiday, preferred by tourists from all over the world.

Constanta Casino

Built by King Carol the 1st in 1910. In its days, it was a cosmopolite piece of architecture with many marine inspired decorations. Nowadays it remained just a beautiful landmark to admire while walking next to the pier in Constanta.

Peles Castle

The Peles Castle (built between 1875 and 1883) is located in Sinaia and is the most famous royal residence in Romania. It is said that King Carol I decided to build a castle here. Therefore, he bought the land in 1872, and hired the German architect Wilhelm Dodderer to make the plans for the construction. This is the reason why, the exterior architecture of the castle contains specific German neo-renaissance elements.

Cantacuzino Palace

The Cantacuzino Palace in Busteni was built by prince Grigore Cantazucino, also known as “Nababul”(“The Mogul”), and opened in 1911. It is a neo-Romanian construction, in stone and brick. It is a boyar residence, that contains, stained glass windows, marble, brackets and ceilings with painted beams, and beautigul white fireplaces. In the communist era, the castle served as a sanitarium.

PAYMENT AND CANCELATION POLICIES:

The payment will be received and processed in full, in a minimum of 14 days prior to departure. So, any reservation has to be made 14 days or more before departure. If there are 13 days left before the starting of the tour, you cannot book anymore. If you find yourself in a last minute booking decision, send us an e-mail and we'll find a solution for you.

In the unfortunate case of needing to cancel a reservation for a package, the following terms apply:

  • If you cancel within 14 days before departure, 100% of the total amount payed will be refunded to your account.

  • If you cancel within 7 days before departure, 70% of the total amount payed will be refunded to your account.

  • If you cancel within 6-0 days days before departure, 10% of the total amount payed will be refunded to your account.
